This week, we attended the iSigma Annual Conference, a gathering of leaders in the data industry from around the world. As presenters and speakers, we had a great time meeting people from the Continental US, Canada, and even Australia. It was impressive to see the turnout that iSigma was able to produce with its members from all over the globe.
What is iSigma?: The International Secure Information Governance & Management AssociationTM (i-SIGMA®) is the industry trade association for secure data destruction and records & information management service providers.
The Top 5 Questions
How do I get rid of the C Players?
During our presentations at the conference, we discussed the importance of people in any organization. We introduced attendees to the A-Player Matrix and asked a simple question: “Would you enthusiastically rehire everyone on your team?”
The answer is almost always no, as every organization has at least one team member who doesn’t fit the company’s culture.
It can be tough to let someone go, especially if they’re a “good” person, but holding onto C-players and high-performing jerks (B/C players) can hamper a company’s potential.
Use the matrix to identify these employees and let them go.
Your organization will thank you for it.
How are you guys different from EOS?
We’re fans of Gino Wickman’s Traction and EOS, but we believe that our open ecosystem is the best competitive advantage for our clients.
The current EOS model feels incomplete, uncustomizable, and rigid, whereas the Scaling Up model is an open ecosystem that’s constantly being refined, added to, and improved.
We want every resource available for our clients because we understand that each client has unique needs.
How much does it cost?
The cost depends on several factors, such as the size and location of the company and its needs/problems.
We want to make sure that your investment with us always creates an ROI in your revenue, profits, cash, and life.
To do this, we work with you to set specific goals and objectives, measure progress, and adjust our approach as needed to achieve those goals.
Our engagements can range from $8,000-$15,000 per month for leadership team coaching and consulting, while our Small Group Coaching offer for Solopreneurs and Small Teams/Companies under 10 Employees ranges from $2500-$4000 per month.

How did you guys get involved with iSigma?
We get it. We were the New Kids on the Block!
Our co-founder, Nick Scarabosio, had been a loyal client of an iSigma member for a considerable period. He was then encouraged to attend an industry convention. Upon realizing the demand for services similar to ours within the association and community, we received an invitation to speak and participate. We cherished every moment spent on stage, every handshake, and each conversation.
Attending the iSigma Annual Conference was a great experience for us, and we hope that this post has provided some helpful insights into the top five questions that were asked at the conference.
