This week, we attended the iSigma Annual Conference, a gathering of leaders in the data industry from around the world. As presenters and speakers, we had a great time meeting people from the Continental US, Canada, and even Australia. It was impressive to see the turnout that iSigma was able to produce with its members from all over the globe.

How do I get rid of the C Players?

During our presentations at the conference, we discussed the importance of people in any organization. We introduced attendees to the A-Player Matrix and asked a simple question: “Would you enthusiastically rehire everyone on your team?” 

The answer is almost always no, as every organization has at least one team member who doesn’t fit the company’s culture. 

It can be tough to let someone go, especially if they’re a “good” person, but holding onto C-players and high-performing jerks (B/C players) can hamper a company’s potential.

Our co-founder, Nick Scarabosio, had been a loyal client of an iSigma member for a considerable period. He was then encouraged to attend an industry convention.
